Your benefit details
Frontdoor offers two types of FSAs. All associates are eligible for the Dependent Care FSA. Your eligibility to contribute to the Health Care FSA depends on your medical plan.
Health Care FSA
A Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) lets you set aside pre-tax money to pay for eligible healthcare expenses for you and your dependents. Choose this account if you enroll in the PPO or if you waive Frontdoor medical coverage.
If you enroll in a CDHP, you can’t contribute to a Health Care FSA (HCFSA).
How it works
- 1
Choose how much to contribute.
Decide how much you want to set aside for the year, up to the IRS annual limit. For 2027, the IRS limit is $3,500.
Your contributions are deducted from your paychecks before taxes, but your full annual election is available to use at the beginning of the plan year.
- 2
Use your HCFSA to pay for eligible healthcare expenses.
Pay for medical, dental and vision expenses for yourself and your dependents, including:
- Doctor visits and prescriptions
- Dental and orthodontia care
- Vision exams and eyewear
- Hearing aids
- Menstrual products
Pay directly with your HCFSA debit card or reimburse yourself later. Save your receipts!
- 3
Spend every dollar by March 15 of the following year.
Unused funds expire at the end of the grace period. Contribute only what you think you’ll spend on healthcare expenses for the year.
Dependent Care FSA
A Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) lets you set aside pre-tax money to help pay for eligible care expenses while you and your spouse work or attend school full-time. You can use the account for an eligible child under age 13 or another eligible dependent who is unable to care for themselves.
You don’t need to be enrolled in Frontdoor medical coverage to participate.
